(Las Vegas, NV) – Organizers of the 5th annual Conservative Leadership Conference in Las Vegas on June 8-10 announced today that, Katie Pavlich – Townhall.com columnist and author of the new best-selling book on the Operation Fast and Furious scandal – has been chosen to receive the event’s first Andrew Breitbart Award.

The award is named after the late conservative firebrand activist who passed away in March. Katie will accept the award and deliver a keynote address at the conference’s annual Awards Luncheon on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
No scandal is considered more dangerous to the Obama administration than Operation Fast and Furious because not only does it involve money, but lives – including that of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, who was gunned down with a weapon that the federal government put in the hands of Mexico’s narco-terrorists.

And no reporter has been more dogged in tracking down the facts about this scandal than Pavlich, whose new book, Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up, explains, in chilling detail, just what this operation conducted by the ATF, under the supervision of the Justice Department, entailed.

The book has risen to #3 on Amazon.com.

“Intrepid investigative journalist Katie Pavlich rips the lid off Team Obama’s murderous corruption and anti-Second Amendment zealotry,” writes blogger and best-selling author Michelle Malkin. “Katie is a terrific reporter and whistleblower. This is an eye-opening book,” adds author and columnist David Limbaugh.

“For her relentless efforts to expose both the serious and dangerous consequences of pursuing liberal policies, as well as exposing a cover-up at the highest levels of our government, Katie Pavlich is an ideal and well-deserving recipient of our first Breitbart Award,” said Chuck Muth, president of Citizen Outreach. “I think Andrew would agree and approve.”

The 2012 Conservative Leadership Conference (CLC) will be held at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. This 5th annual event is co-hosted by Citizen Outreach and Americans for Tax Reform.
