(Karri Bragg) – If the trend sweeping the nation continues to head Southwest, then Senator John McCain is going to be in for a rude awakening come November. His opponent, the “Consistent Conservative”, is the resounding choice to replace the former middle-of-the-road presidential candidate.
And guess who is making a trip to Vegas, just to visit with you lovely folks at First Friday? None other than McCain’s kryptonite, J.D. Hayworth.

J.D. Hayworth has been a radio and television personality, business management consultant, and public policy advocate. Still, most of Arizona knows J.D. from his time spent in Congress, to which he was elected as part of the Republican Revolution in 1994.
While in the House, he built a stellar record as a Consistent Conservative. He maintained an “A” rating from the NRA and a 100% Pro-Life voting record. J.D. also compiled a lifetime rating of 89 from Citizens Against Government Waste and a lifetime rating of 98 from the American Conservative Union.
During his twelve years in the House, J.D. became the first Arizonan to serve on the Ways and Means Committee where he helped write the Bush Tax Cuts of 2001 and 2003.

I have some more of JD’s highlights; beginning with the reputation he comes to run with; corrupt (Abramoff), biggest boozer in Congress (a title given to him by his peers) second biggest blowhard in Congress, again, he earned that title, dumbest member in Congress, an award given to him by his peers, forced to step away from his radio gig b/c he is unethical quietly campaigning by bashing McCain on air, announces his candidacy and creates an ad campaign to raise money by painting a picture of an Indian McCain (disrespectful) only raises enough money to cover that ad, he is asked to show proof of his donors for his Abramoff legal bill trust (which he will not do) has to get rid of Rose because he has no money and now paints a picture of man marrying animal. It almost seems like a joke to me, he has embarassed himself so much it is pathetic.
Consistent JD is NOT, conservative, perhaps a tiny bit when he is on radio…BUT, when you want to look at record, when you want to look at recognition for being fiscally conservative, you look towards McCain. McCain was just awarded 3rd most fiscally conservative member in Senate, an award that we want in Washington!
