(Chris Woodward<\/em>) \u2013 A group of Republican governors is calling on President Joe Biden to halt his electric vehicle mandate proposal.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0letter<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to the president, the governors said they aren’t opposed to electric vehicles, but rather overreaching federal government mandates that \u201cpenalize retailers and do not reflect the will of the consumer\u201d in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven with deep price cuts, manufacturers\u2019 incentives, and generous government funding, federal mandates on electric vehicles are unrealistic,\u201d the governors wrote.<\/p>\n
