Clark County Republicans to Meet to Fill Vacancies

In a letter to Clark County Republican Central Committee Executive Board members on Wednesday, Chairman Richard Scotti announced a special meeting to fill vacancies on the party’s roster.

“Thank you for your patience in waiting for this information about the upcoming Special Meeting of the CCRCC,” Scotti wrote. “As you may recall from our last Executive Board meeting, we have been in the process of determining whether there would be vacancies in the CCRCC memberships to the NRCC. Today, after careful review of the records, we have determined there will be several vacancies to be filled.

‘Today we also secured the location for a Special Meeting for the CCRCC,” Scotti continued. “Until today we did not have all three components – an agenda, a location, and a date, for the Special Meeting. Now that we have all three we can announce as follows:

“A. There will be a Special Meeting of the CCRCC at the Orleans, on November 5th, 2009, at 6p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to confirm the resignations of certain Clark County members of the NRCC, and to elect new members to the NRCC. If you are not presently a member but want to be (or if you know somebody else who wants to attend the NRCC in Hawthorne as a delegate), please let me know ASAP.

“B. Since we are having a Special Meeting on November 5th for sure, I can now announce that Elections to fill the two vacancies on the Executive Board will also take place at the same place and time. Nominations for Executive Board may be received from now until the date of the election. The CCRP will be accepting E-Board candidate notices immediately for email blasting. The two positions up for election are County Commission District E, and County Commission DistrIct G. Candidates are voted upon by only the Members within their respective Districts, under a one person-one vote process.

“By copy of this email to the Communications Director, I am asking him to please immediately send out an email blast to as many people as possible, advising the time, place and date at which the CCRP will be accepting nominations for, and then voting to filll, the two Executive Board positions of County Commission District E, and County Commission Distrcit G. Everybody else, please feel free to circulate this Notice as wide as possible to get the word out.”

Scotti concluded noting that an official notice of the Special Meeting of the CCRCC will be sent out by the CCRP Secretary, probably next Monday.
