The Clark County Republican Party is devastated by the news that our friend, Charlie Kirk, passed away today after being shot and killed at Utah Valley University.
Charlie dedicated his life to empowering young Americans with the principles of liberty, free markets, and limited government.
Through his tireless work with Turning Point USA, he inspired millions to engage in civic discourse and to boldly stand for their beliefs.
Above all, he was a loving husband and a devoted father to two young children. We lift his family up in our prayers.
Today, we grieve with profound sorrow and heavy hearts.
Along with his family and our nation, we mourn this tragic loss and senseless political assassination.
We are thankful his unwavering commitment to truth and fearless advocacy for conservative values leaves a legacy that will endure.
Tomorrow, let us honor Charlie by letting our actions reflect what he stood for: loving God and loving others, and having the courage to stand up for what is good, honorable, and right.
Let us be clear that violence has no place in the political arena.
