A new local initiative aimed at bringing residents together for open discussion is launching in Reno later this month.
The first Our Community Talk Lunch (OCTL) will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Reno Elks Lodge.
This kickoff event will feature speakers addressing timely community issues, including:
-
The Washoe Valley Fire Station
-
Development at Lakeridge Golf Course
-
Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and housing policy
The goal is to create a space where neighbors can gather, enjoy lunch, and hear directly from those involved in key local developments.
Lunch with dessert and beverage are available for $25, and attendees can pay at the door. To reserve a seat RSVP to Nicol Herris at 775-300-3978 or nicol.herris@cbselectre.com by Wednesday, July 16.
The event is open to all, and organizers encourage anyone interested in learning more about local issues or getting more involved in the community to attend.
Location: Reno Elks Lodge
