Stranded on the Interstate with a 200-Pound Pig and No Brakes – Please HELP!
From an early age, my second daughter, Jenna, has been an “animal person.”
When she was around 10 or 11, she wanted to work at a pet store just to be around the puppies and kittens and every other creature on God’s green earth.
Would have been happy to just stock shelves or clean up pet cages – for FREE! But no one would hire her. Our stupid government actively discourages businesses from hiring kids.
Jenna was frustrated and discouraged. And then we had a chance meeting with Janice Ridondo.
Janice runs Windy’s Rescue Ranch in Logandale – which specializes in rescuing pot-bellied pigs. And she said if Jenna wanted to come volunteer at the ranch, she’d put her to work.
Jenna’s been volunteering there ever since – over a dozen years now.
And not just stocking shelves or mucking pens. She’s had the opportunity to learn every aspect of running the ranch. Just like if she’d been raised on a farm.
Now Jenna spends entire weekends working at Windy’s – still as a volunteer; no pay (it’s a calling) – and even runs the place occasionally when Janice has to go out of town.
I couldn’t be more proud. The kid’s got a heart of gold.
But a couple weeks ago, Janice, Jenna and one of the pigs they rescued found themselves in an extremely dangerous situation. It all worked out in the end – but it could have ended VERY badly.

BREAKING (Literally): Do You Believe in Coincidences?
Bobby Khan, Republican candidate for Nevada’s 1st Congressional District, is scheduled to officially launch his campaign at a major “Bobby Khan Unfiltered” event tonight.
Special guest appearances include actress Dawn Olivieri (Yellowstone, Homestead, Lioness) and MMA fighter and actor Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
But last night, someone broke into the venue – the Dragon Gate Restaurant – and destroyed the sound and video system.
Bobby posted a video on X (click here) showing the damage at 11:29 pm last night.
“The night before my big event tomorrow and the Venue gets broken into and sabotaged!” he wrote. “Coincidence? I think not!”
Bobby told me this morning that the show must go on:
“Thanks to my entire team, my campaign manager, and my friend, Guns N’ Roses band member Ashba, who got me a video/sound/lighting team in late last night and this morning to fix things!!”
