The WNBA held its “All-Star” game this weekend, which ESPN described as “boring.”
Which is pretty much how most people would describe ANY WNBA game – with or without Caitlin Clark, who is quickly losing her luster.
Players wore warm-up t-shirts demanding that the league “Pay us what you owe us.”
The entitlement mentality is strong among these gals.
Critics responded by suggesting the appropriate pay would be…zero. As Jesse Kelly wrote yesterday…
“Women’s sports will never be widely popular because people watch sports to see athletes doing things they could never imagine themselves doing. Since women are smaller, slower, and weaker, women’s basketball looks like an Over 40 league at the YMCA. And nobody pays to see that.”
Indeed, if WNBA players go out on strike, would anyone notice? Would anyone care?
On another matter…
Nevada Democrats continue to falsely blame Trump’s tariffs for the reduction in Vegas tourism. TDS will do that to you.
Fact is, the Strip gaming giants have been destroying Vegas through greed for years.
Last week I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant with Mark Skousen, who runs the annual Freedom Fest conference, at Caesar’s Palace.
He had a shrimp-and-rice meal; I had some chicken nuggets. And some egg rolls.
The check? $90.00!! PLUS, $25 parking for the hour or so.
The Vegas bean counters are killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, not Trump.
And lastly…
My daughter, Jenna, and I will be taking a road trip today.
Heading north of Fresno, CA, to pick up a puppy for Windy’s Rescue Ranch where she’s been volunteering for over a dozen years now. So I might be out of action for a couple days.
