(Richard Santomauro) – Being a federal employee in America is the best job you can get. Everyone knows it.
Nobody wants to say it, but I will. It’s true.
At the Department of Defense—now the Department of War, which is what it should be—employees make over $100,000 a year.
Sometimes much more. Great pay. Incredible pay.
And on top of that, they get unbelievable perks: vacation time, sick time, personal time—you name it.
They even have something called an “RDO”—a Regular Day Off—every other Friday. That’s right.
Work (wink wink) ten hours a day, then take every other Friday off. Two extra days of freedom every month.
The private sector doesn’t get that. Not even close. And the benefits? Nobody can compete.
Health care is better than anything anywhere. Retirement is rock solid.
In the private sector, you’re lucky if you get a fraction of this.
Federal employees get the whole package. The best.
Now here’s the secret everyone knows: the contractors.
Every agency, every department, hires private contractors. And the contractors are the ones doing most of the heavy lifting.
They’re carrying the load, doing the work, while the government employees sit on top of the best deal in the country.
The contractors grind, but the federal employees collect. So let’s be honest. Being a federal employee is the greatest deal in America.
Better than Wall Street, better than Silicon Valley, better than anywhere.
The pay, the perks, the benefits—it’s the dream job. The very best.
And that’s why the government only grows bigger and bigger. People never want to leave. Who would?
With pay like that, with benefits like that, you’d have to be crazy.
The American taxpayer is footing the bill—and the government workers are living the dream.
But here’s the problem: America can’t afford a government that takes and takes while the people give and give.
We need a government that works for the people, not the other way around.
It’s time to cut the waste, stop the games, and put America First again. That’s what we’ll do.
And when we do, the American people—not the bureaucracy—will be the ones winning big.
