On Wednesday, July 16th at 6:00 p.m., the Executive Board of the Nevada Young Republican Club convened and held a vote of no confidence in the current Chair. In accordance with the organization’s bylaws, the Chair position was officially vacated.

As a result, Vice Chair Alan Hedrick has now assumed the role of Chair of the Nevada Young Republican Club.

In a statement following the meeting, Hedrick said:

“The work can now get done. I’m looking forward to leading our delegation as we represent the great state of Nevada at the National Federation of Young Republicans Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, from July 30th through August 3rd. It’s a great day for our state as we continue to charge forward in preparation for the critical 2026 election cycle.”

Hedrick emphasized his commitment to collaboration and conservative leadership:

“I look forward to working with partner organizations, our great State Party Chairman Michael McDonald, and county chairs across the Silver State. 2026 will be a pivotal year.

As an organization, we are committed to re-electing Governor Joe Lombardo and putting an end to the radical, woke agenda that has plagued our state.

Our goal is to fight for the freedoms of every Nevadan, reduce the burdens of government overreach, and continue advancing the America First, Trump MAGA agenda.”

“It is an honor to serve, and I look forward to many great things ahead for our organization and our state.”
