If you believe in the Second Amendment and want to connect with the people who are fighting to protect it, you’ll want to be in Salt Lake City this September.
The Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) is coming to town from September 26 to 28, and it’s one of the biggest gatherings of Second Amendment advocates in the country.
Hosted by the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), this annual event brings together gun owners, legal experts, authors, activists, and everyday patriots who care about protecting our right to keep and bear arms.
And here’s the best part: it’s completely free.
That’s right – you don’t have to pay a dime to attend the conference. All you need to cover is your own food, travel, and lodging.
The goal is to make it easy for regular Americans to hear directly from the people on the front lines of the fight for our freedoms.
About the SAF
The Second Amendment Foundation has been defending gun rights since 1974. Over the years, they’ve taken the battle all the way to the Supreme Court.
SAF has helped win major cases that rolled back unconstitutional gun bans and defended law-abiding citizens from overreach by local, state, and federal governments.
From proposed bans on so-called “assault weapons” to backdoor efforts to regulate ammo, gun control groups never stop pushing.
The GRPC is one place where freedom-loving Americans push back.
Randy Mackie, president of the Nevada Firearms Coalition, shared with me that he attended his first GRPC in 1993 in Washington D.C.
He said the group was incredibly welcoming, he was quite impressed with the speeches and speakers (they have some big names show up), and he happily went home with a gift bag full of literature and goodies regarding the Second Amendment.
Mackie also praised the group for making the event free to the public, giving everyone access to education about our rights as Americans. The last time he attended was around 2009, but he’s looking forward to attending again this year.
What to Expect
The weekend kicks off on Friday, Sept. 26, with a special pre-conference called AMM-CON for folks in the Second Amendment media world. That event requires a separate registration.
Later that evening, GRPC officially opens with a welcome reception from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. – a perfect time to meet new people and catch up with fellow activists.
The main event is Saturday, Sept. 27. Doors open early at 7:30 a.m., and the full day of speakers and panels runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Topics usually cover everything from federal court updates to state-level victories, strategy sessions, and even media training. Saturday wraps up with another casual reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 28 is a half-day, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and finishing up around noon.
Who Should Come?
If you’re a gun owner, a constitutional conservative, a freedom fighter, or just someone who wants to learn more about your rights, this is the place to be.
Whether you’re brand-new to the issue or a seasoned advocate, you’ll walk away with more knowledge, more connections, and more motivation.
Past conferences have featured top attorneys, lawmakers, law enforcement voices, grassroots organizers, and regular folks who have stood up for the Second Amendment in their own communities.
You don’t have to be famous to attend. You just have to care.
Join the Fight
The event is free but does require registration – now open at saf.org/grpc. Don’t wait too long; hotel rooms in Salt Lake City will fill up fast.
Pack your boots and grab your favorite hat – we’ll see you in Utah this September.
