Nevada Democrats tried to take a shot at Gov. Joe Lombardo this week over the state’s unemployment numbers…
“Lombardo made his entire 2022 campaign about Nevada’s unemployment, but under his leadership, our state has had the HIGHEST unemployment rate of any state in the nation for over a year, rising above pre-pandemic levels.”
Now for the rest of the story…
The highest unemployment rate in Nevada under Lombardo was 5.8% last November.
The highest unemployment rate in Nevada under former Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak? 28.5%.
Some will say, “Yes, but that was during the COVID shutdown.”
Fine. But, um, who shut the Las Vegas Strip and every other “non-essential” business down during COVID? Sisolak.
And Lombardo is still trying to dig the state out from Sisolak’s disaster – with Nevada Democrats who control the Legislature blocking him at every turn.
