Some folks just dabble in campaigns – and then there are the people who make a career of winning them. David Reade falls squarely in the second category.
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, local conservatives will gather at the Ahern Hotel in Las Vegas for a special luncheon featuring David Reade, Battleground Programs Advisor for the Leadership Institute, hosted by the Nevada Republican Club.
Reade, now serving as Battleground Programs Advisor for the Leadership Institute, brings nearly four decades of hands-on political experience to the table.
Over the years, he’s advised more than a hundred successful campaigns across the country; everything from city council races to presidential contests.
From Reagan Volunteer to Conservative Leader
Reade’s political journey began in 1984 when, as a college student at California State University, he volunteered on Ronald Reagan’s re-election campaign.
That early exposure to grassroots organizing sparked a career that would take him from the halls of the California state capitol to the center of some of the nation’s biggest political fights.
He went on to serve as Chief of Staff to three different California legislators, an elected Republican county chairman, and a member of the Executive and Rules Committees of the California Republican Party.
Along the way, he became known as a reliable strategist, fundraiser, and mentor to up-and-coming conservatives.
On the Front Lines of National Campaigns
Reade’s resume reads like a timeline of modern conservative politics.
In 2003, he was Political Director for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s successful recall election campaign for governor of California – one of the most dramatic political battles in recent memory.
He later served as California Coordinator for President George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign, California Political Director and Finance Co-Chair for Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential run, and Trump Victory Finance Committee Co-Chair in 2020.
In each role, he helped marshal grassroots energy and raise the funds necessary to compete in high-stakes races.
A Record of Recognition and Results
His professional work has not gone unnoticed. The American Association of Political Consultants has honored him with eight Pollie Awards, including Gold and Silver awards for radio advertising.
In addition to consulting, Reade founded and leads Public Square Partners, LLC, a political consulting firm dedicated to helping conservatives succeed at every level of government.
Nevada is fast becoming one of the most important battlegrounds in American politics, and leaders with experience in tough races are in high demand.
Reade’s deep background in campaign strategy, fundraising, and grassroots training positions him as a valuable resource for conservative candidates and activists here in the Silver State.
As part of his role with the Leadership Institute, Reade is focused on strengthening conservative infrastructure in battleground states – making Nevada a natural fit.
