A serious question!

A serious question!
Chuck Muth
October 13, 2015

(Bernard Schriver) – Taking into account all the time, energy and other resources you and your fellow Patriots have expended fighting the Common Core attempt to centralize our children’s education more and more into the hands of the federal government – a question must be asked:

Have your efforts so far resulted in even one page of pro-free market / limited-government oriented curriculum materials being added to the curriculum streams of your high schools’ Social Studies courses?

In other words, has any proper material gotten into the hands of the classroom teachers who can their courses’ lesson plans?

The simple truth is that with or without Common Core, classroom teachers will use ONLY the materials that are readily available to them in-house – “on-the-shelf”, as they say!

And, another unfortunate reality is that most of those materials are from sources “friendly” to the “progressive” bigger-government ideology AND “hostile” to the free-market/limited-government philosophy!

Does this mean that nothing can be done, that we should accept this unacceptable status quo?

NOT AT ALL. We, YOU and I, can do something – actually a great deal – to challenge that “progressive” status quo…BUT ONLY if we act boldly – and NOW!

Our National, non-partisan, pro-con formatted, award-winning high school Social Studies curriculum enrichment program, OPERATION 2000+ provides free-market/limited-government supplementary and enrichment materials DIRECTLY to high school Social Studies Department Chairs and Classroom Teachers. These materials are ready to plug in to the various course curriculum streams with little or no extra teacher-preparation time required – teachers really appreciate this!

The inclusion of this carefully selected and strongly academic material challenges and counters the current near-monopoly of the “progressive” materials and gives the students the opportunity to gain an in-depth and balanced understanding of the major public-policy issues currently facing our Republic.

This program is the most direct, timely, practical and effective way – probably the ONLY way – to get this job done for America!

If WE don’t act, YOUR students will continue to be exposed to the “progressive” leftist ideology ONLY, with NO opportunity to learn the benefits of the less-government / more-liberty philosophy.

Our ONLY hope of RESTORING our Founders’ vision for America is to teach the facts, principles and values of the Founders to our Nation’s “rising generation”!

Thomas Jefferson said it well: “The boys [and girls] of the rising generation are to be the men [and women] of the next, and the sole guardians of the principles we deliver over to them.”

Please help us help YOUR local area teachers help YOUR local area teenagers learn those Founding facts, principles and values – before we wake up some day in the not-too-distant- future and realize we did too little too late to be able to restore the life and health of our beloved Republic!
