(NN&V) – Nevada Secretary of State’s Office and the Clark County Election Department announced a partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders and the NFL to allow voters to cast their ballot at Allegiant Stadium on Election Day, November 5th, 2024.

“This fall, the country will be looking to Nevada to decide who the next president is, and we need voters to get in the game,” said Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Clark County and the Las Vegas Raiders to open the doors to Allegiant Stadium, giving Nevadans a unique voting experience this fall.

Participation in the electoral process is more important than ever, and now any eligible voter in Clark County can head to an iconic location on Election Day and Just Vote, Baby!”

“The great state of Nevada makes registration and voting easy and accessible. The Raiders and Allegiant Stadium are proud to do our part to encourage high turnout by providing a central location for Clark County voters to cast their ballots on election day,” said Raiders Owner Mark Davis.

Allegiant Stadium will serve as an official polling location for Clark County voters on Election Day, November 5th, 2024.

“One of the goals of the Clark County Election Department is to make sure every eligible voter has access to the polls and what better way to do that than open up our largest location at Allegiant Stadium,” said Clark County Registrar of Voters Lorena Portillo.

“It is important to remember that voters can cast their ballot or drop off a mail ballot at any Vote Center, so we hope folks from all corners of Clark County take advantage of this incredible location.”

The NFL and Las Vegas Raiders launched a webpage “Las Vegas Votes” with additional information on how to vote at Allegiant Stadium and resources for voters and residents eligible to vote.

According to the study, “Professional Sports Stadiums & Arenas as Polling Places,” 48 MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and NFL sports stadiums and arenas were used for early and Election Day voting in 2020 and hundreds of thousands of voters utilized these facilities to vote.

The study, co-authored by Tova Wang at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard Kennedy School, is linked here.

There are several benefits identified in opening stadiums and arenas as polling locations, as detailed in the study:

  • Turnout consistent across the political spectrum
  • Positive voting experience for voters and election workers
  • Strengthened community relations with local sports teams
