(Associated Press, Reno Gazette-Journal) – Effected by an appointment by Gov. Brian Sandoval on January 12, Assemblyman Pat Hickey took a new seat as member in Nevada Board of Education. Hickey holds the seat in replacement of former member Dave Cook, who died last year in October.
Parallel to the appointment was Hickey’s resignation from Nevada Legislature as an Assemblyman.
Hickey served the Legislature for four terms. He was one of the primary sponsors of AB394, creating an advisory committee and technical committee for the planning of reorganization of the Clark County School District.
