Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) – a.k.a. “AOC” – is at it again and proving once more that self-awareness is not her strong suit.
The socialist congresswoman recently took to social media to declare that Elon Musk, the man behind Tesla, SpaceX, and a host of other world-changing innovations, is “one of the most unintelligent billionaires” she’s ever encountered.
One can only assume the list of billionaires AOC has had deep intellectual conversations with is rather short. Like, Munchkin-level short.
Her latest jab at Musk follows a long-running feud between the two, with AOC frequently attacking his business practices, his stance on free speech, and, well, his existence.
Musk, never one to back down from a ridiculous claim, has previously responded to AOC’s outbursts with sharp wit and a solid grasp of reality – two things that seem foreign to the congresswoman.
The “Brilliant” Mind of AOC Strikes Again
AOC’s claim that Musk isn’t all that smart seems to stem from his latest efforts to cut government waste through his “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
You know, that thing conservatives have been screaming about for decades while bureaucrats wasted taxpayer dollars like it’s Monopoly money. Remember those $600 Pentagon hammers back in the 80’s?
But according to AOC, streamlining government is apparently a sign of low intelligence.
She would much prefer taxpayer money continue flowing into bloated federal programs that accomplish little more than creating more government jobs and red tape.
Of course, this is the same AOC who once lamented the loss of non-existent jobs when Amazon pulled out of New York, falsely claimed the world would end in 12 years due to climate change, and recently suggested the best way to fix crime is by having fewer police.
So, naturally, she thinks Musk is the dumb one.
Musk’s Resume vs. AOC’s Resume
Let’s do a quick comparison.
Musk founded Tesla, revolutionizing the auto industry and making electric vehicles mainstream.
He launched SpaceX, a private company that now sends rockets into orbit and has plans to colonize Mars.
He co-founded OpenAI, helped develop the Hyperloop concept, and even found time to buy and fix Twitter, now known as X.
AOC, on the other hand, used to serve drinks at a bar.
And while there’s nothing wrong with honest work, it’s probably not the best background from which to start lecturing the world’s top engineers and entrepreneurs on intelligence.
Social Media Reacts
As expected, the internet had a field day with AOC’s latest outburst.
Conservative commentators wasted no time pointing out the absurdity of her claims.
Giggling idiot says richest man on Earth, who started a successful electric car company and a successful space company, is “unintelligent.” This is the Democrats’ thoughtleader. https://t.co/mqTpgUrR2d

Elon can parallel park a 200-foot rocket booster.
AOC did not know what a garbage disposal was until she got to Congress (she admitted this). https://t.co/9fkwEeuY2d

A few even dug up old clips of AOC trying – and failing – to explain basic economics, pointing out that the person who doesn’t understand supply and demand probably shouldn’t be handing out IQ scores.
Of course, AOC’s cheerleaders came to her defense, with the usual tired talking points about Musk being a “union buster” and a “right-wing extremist.”
Because in their world, being against censorship and government waste is apparently a radical position.
The Bigger Picture
At its core, this Musk vs. AOC spat isn’t just about one congresswoman’s embarrassing need for attention. It’s a glimpse into the broader ideological battle playing out in America today.
On one side, you have Musk – a capitalist, an innovator, and someone who creates things that actually improve people’s lives.
On the other side, you have AOC – a career politician who has mastered the art of playing the victim while pushing policies that stifle growth, kill jobs, and hand more power to the government.
One believes in problem-solving through ingenuity and risk-taking. The other believes in solving problems by taxing the people who take risks and innovate.
It’s no wonder AOC doesn’t like Musk. His entire career is proof that she and her socialist ideas are wrong.
If AOC wants to continue her crusade against Elon Musk, that’s her business. But maybe next time, she should take a minute to think before hitting “send” on her latest social media meltdown.
Then again, thinking before speaking has never been her strong suit, has it?
