(UNLV College Republicans) – Today [July 26], the UNLV College Republicans sent former congresswoman and 2012 congressional candidate Dina Titus a letter via certified mail (also attached) in response to accusations she made against the organization on Face to Face with Jon Ralston one week ago. The letter demands that Titus produce physical evidence for her claims, or provide the organization with a public apology.
“It was unpleasant in the beginning. Every single day the Young Republicans led by the not-so-young 36 year old sophomore Mark – whatever his last name is – protested in front of my class. And they harassed the students that were coming to my class.” – Dina Titus, Face to Face with Jon Ralston, 7/19/11
“The UNLV College Republicans are proud of the work we’ve done this year, and the progress we have made as an organization,” said Mark Ciavola, president of the UNLV College Republicans. “We will not, however, stand idly by while by a candidate for U.S. Congress falsely accuses our members of inappropriate conduct – unchallenged – on statewide public television.”
