Democrats love big drama.
And few love it more than Nevada’s own Dina Titus, who lit up X by screaming that the Trump administration buying small stakes in private companies is “socialism” and that Trump is running “the most socialist administration our country has ever had.”

This is the kind of take you post when you think nobody will actually read the article you linked. Because anyone who did would see the problem right away.
She is yelling “socialism” at a move designed to block China from owning America’s supply chains. Which is like yelling “arson” at the guy holding the fire extinguisher.
According to Titus, the federal government buying a 5 to 10 percent stake in companies like Intel and MP Materials is a socialist takeover.
She leaves out that these companies remain private. They stay in charge. They keep running their own business.
The feds get a small slice so China cannot walk in and take over America’s critical industries like chips, minerals, steel, and nuclear energy. If that is socialism, then Costco memberships are communism.
Real socialism is when the government owns the whole thing. Not a sliver. The whole thing.
Like Cuba. Like Venezuela. Like any system Titus would never dare move to.
Trump’s team bought tiny minority stakes to protect national security. It is the same strategy the U.S. used to block foreign takeovers in the past and the same strategy Democrats used when they threw billions at green energy firms.
Funny how Titus did not scream “socialism” during Biden’s CHIPS Act giveaways or Obama’s Solyndra disaster. Those were actual subsidies. Handouts. Free money tossed into a fire pit.
Trump’s approach was equity. Biden’s was charity. Guess which one Titus likes?
Republican challenger Bobby Khan delivered the line Titus hoped nobody would say out loud.

That one hit her square between the talking points.
Because Titus votes YES on every massive welfare expansion she can get her hands on.
More checks. More bailouts. More federal cash. More dependency.
And she thinks Trump is the socialist? That’s like the Cookie Monster accusing someone else of eating sugar.
Even the New York Times admits the Trump investments were about beating China and keeping American industries alive.
Intel needed to expand chip production. Lithium Americas needed support to stop China from dominating the battery market. MP Materials needed help to secure rare earth minerals so China could not control them.
None of these deals give the government control. Not even close. They give the government leverage against Beijing.
Titus ignores all that because it ruins her spin and she suffers from a terminal case of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome).
Nevada has major mining and minerals operations tied to national security. Lithium. Rare earths. Battery materials. Jobs depending on America not bowing to China.
And Titus decided to attack the very strategy protecting Nevada’s economic future.
It is peak Washington. It’s typical Titus. Elected in Nevada. Votes like California. Complain on Twitter.
Titus tried to dunk on Trump by shouting the S-word. Instead, she just reminded everyone that her own record is the closest thing to socialism Nevada has actually seen.
If buying 10 percent of Intel to stop China is “socialism,” then what do we call the endless checks, subsidies, and dependency programs Titus pushes every year?
Here is the truth: You cannot yell socialism while passing out government goodies like it is Taco Tuesday.
Nevadans see through it. And November ‘26 is coming.
