“Draft Trump 2012” Names Western States Co-ordinator

March 29, 2011

(NN&V Staff) – Veteran Republican Presidential operative James Stockdale will join the Draft Trump 2012 Committee as Western States Co-ordinator. Stockdale was Deputy Director of Ronald Reagan’s campaign in California in 1980 and 1984 and has worked with dozens of Republican House and US Senate candidates.

Stockdale is a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and is a long time associate of Reagan Press Secretary and White House Political Director Lyn Nofziger. Stockdale served as Executive Director of Reagan’s Political Action Committee, Citizens for the Republic, which Reagan used to launch his White House bid. Stockdale launched the political career of U.S. Senator Larry Pressler and was a top campaign Aide to Senator Paul Laxalt.

“We are honored to have a seasoned political pro like Jim Stockdale join our grass-roots team,” said Nick McLaughlin, the ex Marine and decorated Iraq Vetrean who chairs the Draft Trump 2012 Committee. “My goal will be to build an organization to win delegates in the West for Donald Trump if he decides to run,” said Stockdale.
