Former Naval Officer Chris Edwards Announces Run for CD 1

Former Naval Officer Chris Edwards Announces Run for CD 1

(Las Vegas, NV) – Former naval officer Chris Edwards promised to attack the problems plaguing Nevada and the nation as he announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Nevada’s First Congressional District today.

“Nevadans, like many Americans, are continuing to face crisis after crisis. They are suffering hardships they couldn’t even imagine a few years ago – unemployment, a housing crisis and an out of control national debt, just to name a few,” said Edwards. “Washington’s typical solutions just haven’t worked.”

While serving our country, it was Edwards’s duty to find solutions to problems all over the world. Now he is seeking to serve Nevada and solve problems in Washington, D.C.

Far too many Nevadans have lost their jobs, their homes and their hope in recent years. Chris Edwards will restore faith in our government and fight for the hardworking families of Southern Nevada.

“We don’t need leaders who will just continue to blindly throw money at our problems and hope it works out,” Edwards said. “Nevadans need leaders who can understand the problems, develop effective solutions and execute them. That’s what I did as an officer in the Navy; that’s what I’ll do in Washington.”
