Hope, Recovery, and Redemption – Join Us for This Powerful Luncheon

Posted By

(Pauline Lee) – Addiction. Homelessness. Recidivism.

These are some of the biggest challenges facing our communities today. But there are real solutions. And you can be part of the movement to make a difference.

Join us for an inspiring luncheon featuring three men who have dedicated their lives to helping those struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, and reintegration after incarceration.

This event isn’t just another networking lunch. It’s a call to action for anyone who believes in second chances, personal responsibility, and strong communities.

Meet the Speakers Making a Difference

David Marlon – CEO of Vegas Stronger

David Marlon knows firsthand the struggles of addiction. After battling his own substance abuse issues, he turned his life around and dedicated himself to helping others do the same.

He founded Solutions Recovery, the largest private drug and alcohol rehab center in Nevada, and now leads Vegas Stronger, a nonprofit that helps the most vulnerable get the care they need.

With over 100 staff members, Vegas Stronger has helped more than 2,200 homeless individuals overcome addiction and mental health challenges.

Marlon is also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and an interventionist on the A&E show Intervention.

His message? Recovery is possible, but it requires personal responsibility and a strong support system.

Robert Banghart – Director of Community Engagement, Crossroads of Southern Nevada

Robert Banghart has spent years on the front lines of the addiction crisis.

As Director of Community Engagement at Crossroads of Southern Nevada, the state’s largest detox and treatment center for indigent individuals, he sees the damage addiction causes every day.

But he also sees hope.

Through his work with Shine A Light Foundation, St. Jude’s, and Nick’s New Beginnings, Banghart is committed to breaking the cycle of addiction and homelessness by helping people get clean, find work, and reintegrate into society.

His message? Faith, community, and accountability can help people reclaim their lives.

Jon D. Ponder – Founder of HOPE for Prisoners

Jon Ponder is living proof that everyone deserves a second chance.

After serving time in prison, he turned his life around and founded HOPE for Prisoners, an organization that helps former inmates reintegrate into society.

HOPE for Prisoners provides mentorship, job training, and life skills to those coming out of correctional facilities.

Ponder’s work has gained national recognition, earning him both a Presidential Pardon and a Nevada State Pardon in 2020.

His message? Former inmates can rebuild their lives if given the right opportunities and guidance.

Why Should You Attend?

This luncheon isn’t just about learning—it’s about getting involved.

  • Learn how addiction and recidivism affect your community
  • Hear real success stories of recovery and transformation
  • Find out how YOU can help support these efforts
  • Network with others who care about making a difference

Too often, the left pushes policies that enable addiction, reward bad behavior, and create dependence on government programs. But true solutions come from personal responsibility, faith-based initiatives, and community support – not government handouts.

What Do Critics Say?

Some argue that addiction and homelessness should be handled by government agencies. They believe more taxpayer-funded programs are the answer.

But history has shown that government-run programs often fail to address the root causes of addiction and recidivism. Bureaucracy, waste, and lack of accountability keep people trapped in cycles of dependency.

The organizations represented at this luncheon take a different approach.

They focus on empowering individuals, providing real treatment, and helping people become self-sufficient. And the results speak for themselves.
