John Chachas, candidate for United States Senate, introduced on Tuesday a top-tier campaign leadership team with deep experience in Nevada and across the country.
“Our campaign continues to gain incredible momentum and adding this veteran team of political talent will help us run the campaign necessary to win the Republican nomination and ultimately defeat Harry Reid,” said Chachas. “Nevada needs new leadership, new vision and a United States Senator who understands the economy and will fight each and every day to get our economy back on the right track and our government’s budget under control.”
The campaign announces the addition of the following individuals to the Chachas for Nevada Team:
Ryan Erwin of Ryan Erwin & Associates. Ryan Erwin will serve as Senior Advisor and General Consultant for the campaign, overseeing the strategy and execution of the effort. Ryan Erwin and Associates has been on the front lines in races at every level across the country. Recently Ryan Erwin served as a Senior Advisor to Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign, overseeing Romney’s Nevada Presidential Caucus victory. He currently represents top candidates and elected officials across the country. Erwin is the former Executive Director of both the Nevada and California Republican Party organizations.
Dr. Jan van Lohuizen of Voter Consumer Research. President and one of the founding members of the firm, Jan will direct the campaign’s research and offer strategic advice to Chachas for Nevada. Jan’s area of research expertise lies in public policy and elections—having conducted opinion research for hundreds of political campaigns in his more than 30 year career. Jan van Lohuizen was the lead pollster for President George W. Bush and counts Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and NRSC Chairman John Cornyn as clients.
Michael Toner of Bryan Cave. Mr. Toner will serve as Chief Legal Counsel for the campaign. As head of his firm’s Election Law and Government Ethics practice, and having served as chairman of the Federal Election Commission in 2006 and as an FEC Commissioner from 2002-2007, Michael Toner is a widely respected election law expert. A political veteran, Mr. Toner served as Chief Counsel of the Republican National Committee in 2001-2002, as well as General Counsel of the Bush-Cheney transition team and the Bush-Cheney 2000 presidential campaign.
