My “Keep the Lights On” Pitch – Nevada News and Views

My “Keep the Lights On” Pitch

From the desk of Chuck Muth

Dear Fellow Conservative,

I was sitting at my desk this morning, coffee in hand, scrolling through the headlines from the Las Vegas Sun and the Nevada Independent.

By the third story, I had already counted five instances where they’d managed to make conservatives sound like villains and progressives (formerly “liberals”) sound like saviors.

Same song, different day.

Which is exactly why Nevada News & Views and Muth’s Truths exists.

For over 20 years now, I’ve been doing what the mainstream Nevada press refuses to do: Telling the WHOLE story, not just the parts that fit neatly into a liberal narrative.

Let me be direct with you (as I always am).

Running this publication isn’t cheap, and unlike the left-wing media outlets, we don’t have a squadron of advertisers or a billionaire sugar daddy bankrolling our operation.

What we do have is YOU.

And as Elon Musk so famously put it after the November election, “You are media now.”

So here’s what I call my “Keep the Lights On” pitch.

It’s simple, really.

If you value what we do at Nevada News & Views – if you appreciate having a conservative voice that cuts through the spin and gives you the unvarnished truth about what’s happening in Carson City and beyond – then I’m asking you to chip in whatever you can afford.

Could be $10. Could be $25. Could be $100 if you’re feeling particularly generous. It all helps, and it’s all tax-deductible since we operate under the Citizen Outreach Foundation’s 501(c)(3) umbrella.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking: “Chuck, times are tough. We’re still recovering from Bidenflation.”

Believe me, I get it. I’m right there with you.

But here’s the thing. If publications like Nevada News & Views disappear, who’s going to call out Democrats (and maybe some Republicans) the next time they try to ram through a tax hike disguised as a “revenue enhancement”?

Who’s going to expose the double standards when it comes to election integrity? Who’s going to stand up for our Second Amendment rights when the mainstream press is busy demonizing lawful gun owners?

The answer is: nobody.

Thanks to your generous support, we’re now able to break stories and cover issues that the mainstream media either misses or deliberately ignores.

And we hold both Democrats AND Republicans accountable when they stray from our limited-government conservative principles.

But the only way this happens is if readers like you decide that having an honest, conservative news source in Nevada is worth a few bucks.

So here’s my proposition:

If you’ve found value in what we do – if even once this year you’ve read something on Nevada News & Views that made you say, “I’m glad somebody’s reporting on THIS!” – then please consider making a donation.

It’s quick, it’s easy, and most importantly, it ensures that while the Nevada Legislature is meeting again this year (heaven help us all), we’ll be there watching, reporting, and holding their feet to the fire.

You can donate securely online by CLICKING HERE or send a check to our address below.

As always, I remain grateful for your readership, your support, and your commitment to keeping Nevada a place where live-and-let-live conservative values still matter.

With sincere thanks,

Chuck Muth

Publisher, Nevada News & Views

P.S. If you’ve already donated this year, please accept my heartfelt thanks. If you haven’t, well, there’s no time like the present. The battle for Nevada’s future rages on…and we’re right there at the tip of the spear.
