(Chuck Muth) – Those of you reading Muth’s Truths know about the work our organization is doing on cleaning up the voter rolls. As such, I’ve been FORCED to learn Nevada’s election laws better than any ordinary citizen ever should.
They’re as fouled up as you could ever imagine, and it makes my head hurt every time I try to make sense of something new that pops up. But I do know this…
Social media claims of a “ballot dump” and “delayed counting” costing Sam Brown his race for Nevada’s U.S. Senate seat have ZERO merit. They’re based on pure ignorance of the law.
The system is screwed up; no doubt about that. However, the law allows voters to put their ballot in the mail on Election Day and have it counted as long as the ballot is postmarked by midnight that night and arrives at election headquarters by the following Friday.
Yes, the Nevada Supreme Court ruled that *some* ballots without a postmarked can be counted – a decision that may well be appealed to the 9th Circuit Court – but there’s no indication whatsoever that a ton of those flooded in and swung the election to Jacky Rosen.
So why did so many ballots get mailed in late and the majority flowed to Democrats?
Well, one reason may well be because folks on the GOP side were dumb, dumb, dumb.
As early voting and mail-in ballot numbers came in, a number of people went on social media to applaud, cheer, and take a victory lap since the numbers indicated that more Republican voters were voting early and by mail than in the past.
It was the sports version of taunting.
And did I mention it was dumb, dumb, dumb?
All this did was panic the Democrats, who then activated their turnout machine that was comparatively dormant to previous elections. They got on the phone and went to doors and aggressively persuaded Democrats who hadn’t yet voted to get their ballots in the mail.
So the fact that so many Democrat ballots arrived at elections’ offices after Election Day – LEGALLY, whether we like it or not – wasn’t surprising or an indication of funny business. It was an indication of an energized Democrat turnout operation spurred on by Republicans doing the Snoopy Dance prematurely.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Now, that said…
Over the summer, the Pigpen Project filed over 33,000 challenges to voters who filed a change-of-address with the post office and no longer lived where they’re registered.
Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar blocked the processing of those challenges.
But now we have the receipts. And we’re bouncing our challenge list against the voter list to see if anyone who told the post office they’d moved cast a ballot. And initial research indicates it could be well over 3,000 statewide.
That does NOT prove voter fraud, but it does demand further investigation – which we’re about to do.
And where appropriate, we’ll file post-election ELECTION INTEGRITY COMPLAINTS that the Secretary of State will have to investigate since he refused to process our pre-election challenges.
If Secretary Aguilar thought we’d quit and go away quietly, he seriously underestimated our resolve in cleaning up the voter files in Nevada – with or without his cooperation.
We’re just getting started…
