Obama Definitely NOT A Triple A President

Obama Definitely NOT A Triple A President
N&V Staff
August 4, 2011

(Fred Weinberg/The Penny Press) – How can anybody believe Barack Obama?

While using one side of his mouth, allegedly trying to “negotiate” a deal between a GOP House and a Democratic Senate on increasing the nation’s debt limit, the President used the other side of his mouth to tell the American people:

“We need to reach a compromise by Tuesday so that our country will have the ability to pay its bills on time – bills like Social Security checks, veterans’ benefits, and contracts we’ve signed with thousands of American businesses. If we don’t, for the first time ever, we could lose our country’s Triple A credit rating. Not because we didn’t have the capacity to pay our bills – we do – but because we didn’t have a Triple A political system to match it. And make no mistake – for those who reflexively oppose tax increases on anyone, a lower credit rating would be a tax increase on everyone – we’d pay higher interest rates on mortgages, car loans, and credit cards.”

I don’t know who writes this crap for Barack Obama, but I want you to think about what this clown—and, yes, I’m referring to you, Mister President—just told the American people.

The first African-American President in this nation’s history who was elected at the head of a Democratic ticket including a female House Speaker just told the American people that the same political system which did that isn’t a “Triple A political system”.

I wish I could be more eloquent in describing this, but the best I can do is to say, what an idiot.

This is as dumb or more dumb than when his wife said, during the campaign, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”

Back then, we were left to wonder why the wife of an African-American candidate for President, to whom this nation gave every opportunity was only now, at age 44, proud of her nation.

Now, that man is the President of the United States of America, he gets into a snit with the opposing party and instead of just doing his job, he tells us that our political system, which brought him to the most powerful job in the world isn’t a “Triple A political system”!

What, pray tell, change would he make?

Would he, maybe, like to substitute Cuba’s system? How about Venezuela’s? Maybe let the drug cartels decide things like in Mexico?

I’ll tell you what I think:

This guy is an overeducated, underexperienced, arrogant putz who is scared of every issue that can potentially cost him re-election in 2012.

His role in the negotiations over the debt ceiling increase ignore the fact that when he was a baby Senator—six long years ago—he not only voted against raising the debt ceiling, but said, “Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Ahem.

Maybe the President didn’t know this, but the day after his insult to America’s political system, Oklahoma’s own Reba McEntire sang God Bless America to a quarter of a million people at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway prior to the start of the Brickyard 400.

Yes, they were mostly Americans who “cling to their guns and religion” (another Obama gaffe) but you have to wonder if they think that America’s political system is too broken to accommodate this President.

Now then, knowing all of that background, how can anyone, radical Islamic terrorists, OPEC leaders, allies, and enemies alike take this guy seriously?

You may have disagreed with George W. Bush’s policies, you may have disagreed with Ronald Reagan’s policies, but anybody outside our nation who failed to take them seriously did so at their own peril.

Barack Obama was elected President by a Triple A political system that occasionally makes mistakes. Electing him was a big one.
