The integrity of our elections is under threat, and your voice is needed to protect the sacred right of ONLY American citizens to vote.
America First Legal (AFL) has filed a critical petition with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship (DPOC) for voter registration in federal elections.
This commonsense measure would ensure that only U.S. citizens can vote, safeguarding our democracy from fraud and illegal voting.
As Senior Counsel at AFL, James Rogers stated:
“The right to vote is the sacred privilege of American citizens—period. We are demanding that the EAC fulfill its duty to the American people by requiring real, documentary proof of citizenship to register for federal elections. Anything less is an open invitation for illegal voting and a betrayal of our democracy.”
The EAC is now accepting public comments on this petition, and we need YOU to amplify this call to action.
By submitting a comment, you can urge the EAC to amend the federal voter registration form to require DPOC, such as a Real ID driver’s license, military ID, or passport.
This is a critical step to ensure that our elections remain secure and that only eligible voters determine America’s future.
The current federal voter registration form relies on an “honor system,” requiring only a checkbox to confirm citizenship without verification.
States like Arizona, Georgia, Alabama, and Kansas have faced legal challenges when trying to implement DPOC requirements, leaving vulnerabilities in our election system.
Evidence from states like Pennsylvania and Texas shows thousands of non-citizens have been registered to vote, with some even casting ballots in past elections.
It is particularly relevant for Nevadans, since the Voter ID Question #7 will be on our ballot on November 3, 2026.
Your comment can help pressure the EAC to act swiftly and strengthen election integrity.
It will take only a few minutes of your time.
