Taxpayers Are NOT Second-Class Citizens

(Bruce Feher) – The papers are full of the something for nothing crowd crying that they need more. Government at all levels say the same but none seem to give a darn about the folks who have to pay for it.

My income is down, my business is down, my investments, well they’re gone, gone, gone. My lifestyle has taken a BIG hit and yet I still pay over 50% of this lowered amount to government.

And those creative bureaucrats are always looking for new ways to pick our pockets. What will they do when there’s nothing left. Oh sure, the Federal Government can print more “money” and pass it out. How long do you think that will work?

Rarely do the media say anything about those who foot the bill. We get insulted by our “leaders” when they say we have to pay our fare share….FAIR SHARE? What about the tens of millions who don’t pay a dime and get tons of free stuff?

In the course of me making a living, I frequent the local Social Security several times a month. The place is packed and it’s packed with people a lot younger than me!

Same for the county hospital. I get a kick out of seeing “patients” with oxygen canisters standing by the front door SMOKING! The private sector taxpayer picks up the tab for this AND I’m tired of it!

There is a local mission that has a Department of Agriculture free food give-a-away a few times a month. I see lots of late model cars, people talking on $200 cell phones and little ones running around in $150 a pair sneakers. In fairness a few REALLY needy are served too.

Here, in Southern Nevada there are billboard signs that say something like; “Are you on public assistance? Get a FREE cell phone and FREE Air time.”

I don’t know about you but my cell bill runs into hundreds of dollars and most of my cell time is spent on trying to make a buck!

Now, I have nothing against helping folks that really need it, my family donates a lot, but; there are plenty of free loaders “gaming” the system. That’s not right!

In my view, they are stealing both from taxpayers but especially those that really need it.

Times are hard for everyone, not just those who are out of work, everyone!

Our so called “leaders” should be focused on how to improve private sector prosperity because, without it sooner or later, their jobs and all the “free” things that they “provide” will vanish.

This can’t go on much longer AND it won’t. How it ends is what concerns me. Will it be because the government realizes it or will it end because the folks that are FORCED to pay will revolt?

What do we do? I don’t know. What I do know is what has been tried isn’t working and that government is not the answer. If government knew what to do, don’t you thing that they would have done it already?
