Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Chuck Muth
April 13, 2023

(Chuck Muth) – I can’t tell you how much I appreciated all the calls, texts, emails and social media posts you sent in response to my having to send my buddy, “Snowball,” to the Great Dog Park in the Sky last Friday.

It truly meant a lot to me and helped a great deal – especially all of your personal stories of losing you own “man’s best friend.”  I kept choking up reading them.

The hardest part each day has been realizing I no longer have to look behind my chair before moving away from my desk to make sure I don’t roll over him.  He’s not there any more.

And I miss seeing him running out from the house through the doggie door towards the gate every time I pulled into the driveway.

When I opened the car door, he was always right there, tail wagging frantically, hopping up and down on his two hind legs, welcoming me home as if he thought I’d never come back.

Fortunately, my daughter was pet-sitting “Bear” over the weekend.  And I swear, that dog somehow sensed my sadness.

Just like Snowball, he’d sit under the desk at my feet while I was working, jumped up in my lap while watching TV, and cozied up next to my shoulder at bedtime.  A real comfort.

Here he is on Monday “disturbing” my work day before he went home…

Thank you, Bear.

And thank all of you for your wonderful words of support and condolences.

It’s true – there will never be another Snowball.  But there WILL be another dog sometime down the road.  As the saying goes…

“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”

Last Call for Death & Taxes Dinner Tix

Yesterday, I did a final script review for Saturday night’s “Death & Taxes” murder-mystery-comedy fundraising dinner/show at the Italian-American Club.

This is gonna be a blast.

Who gets “killed”?  Why?  Who done it?  You’ll have to be there to find out!

The bad news: We’re technically sold out.  However…

The good news is, one of our table sponsors has donated his seats back to support our Pigpen Project to clean up Nevada’s “dirty” voter files.

So I have an additional eight tickets available on a first-come/fist-served basis.  Click on the link below…

https://citizenoutreach.org/death-taxes

And I’m extending the $50-off discount for these 8 seats until 11:55 p.m. tomorrow night (Friday).  Just enter the promo code “lastcall” when checking out.

Please join us.  We put the “FUN” in fundraising!

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“PBS and NPR both have quit Twitter because they were labeled as government-funded media.  I’ve got a solution – let’s defund both of them so they won’t have the label and can continue using Twitter happily!” – Rep. Lauren Boebert

“There has been a recent trend in the black political arena which I believe threatens to sustain the oppression of the black masses. The phenomenon I refer to is the rise of the black conservative. The most notable indicator of this is the appointment of Justice Clarence Thomas to the United States Supreme Court.” – Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in a student newspaper when he was in college

“You know what’s good for the poor and underprivileged? Markets. You know what the elite find threatening to the established social hierarchy? Markets.” – Geoffrey Lawrence
