(Emerald Robinson) – After the dust settled on the 2020 election, one thing became crystal clear: asking questions about what happened was not allowed.
From Trump’s rushed second impeachment to media blackouts and billion-dollar lawsuits, anyone who dared to question the results or even mention the words “election fraud” became a target.
Let’s take a closer look at how the left—along with their allies in media, Big Tech, and even some Republicans—worked overtime to silence debate, punish dissent, and protect their narrative at all costs.
Trump’s Second Impeachment: The Distraction
On January 13, 2021—just one week before President Trump left office—House Democrats rushed through a second impeachment.
The charge? Incitement of insurrection.
The Senate trial started on February 9, but it didn’t go anywhere. The final vote fell 10 votes short of the two-thirds needed to convict.
Still, the message was clear: the political establishment wanted to make Trump—and anyone questioning the 2020 election—a permanent enemy of the state.
GOP Senators Went Along With It
What’s worse is how many Republican senators went silent.
Not one GOP senator stood up and said what many Americans were thinking: that January 6th was used to stop any real investigation into election fraud.
Instead, they played along. They voted to confirm most of Biden’s Cabinet picks.
In other words, they helped rubber-stamp the very regime that many conservatives believed came to power under shady circumstances.
Biden’s First Moves Were Telling
Joe Biden was sworn in on January 20, 2021. One of his first actions? He signed off on China getting access to the U.S. power grid.
Let that sink in.
While Americans were told to stay home, wear a mask, and stay quiet, the new administration gave our most dangerous global rival a window into our energy systems.
If that doesn’t scream “America Last,” what does?
Shut Up or Lawyer Up
Soon after, Dominion Voting Systems hired a powerful law firm—Clare Locke LLP—and sent letters to 150 individuals.
Their message? Shut up, or we’ll sue you.
They demanded that people “cease and desist” from even talking about election fraud and preserve all documents.
The goal wasn’t just to defend their reputation—it was to scare people into silence.
And it worked.
Lou Dobbs Silenced
On February 5, 2021, Fox News abruptly pulled Lou Dobbs off the air.
He was the top-rated host on Fox Business, but he had also been vocal about the election.
The day before, Dobbs and Fox were hit with a $2.7 billion lawsuit from Smartmatic, another voting machine company.
The message to every conservative voice was loud and clear: mention election fraud and you’re out of a job.
What This All Means
This isn’t just about Trump or one election. It’s about how the political system—including many on the right—teamed up with big corporations and media giants to erase one side of the conversation.
If you raised questions about election integrity, you were labeled a conspiracy theorist, sued, or fired.
Meanwhile, the people in power—on both sides—moved on like nothing happened.
This is what happens when we let the government grow too big, when the security state runs unchecked, and when corporate media works hand-in-hand with political insiders.
It’s not just dangerous. It’s un-American.
Now more than ever, we need leaders willing to speak the truth—even when it’s unpopular.
We need watchdogs, not lapdogs.
And we need everyday citizens to stay informed, stay loud, and keep asking the tough questions.
Freedom dies in silence, and we’ve already seen what that looks like.
