A-Ron Thinks “I'm Joe Lombardo” Is the Scandal That Will Save Him
Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo got pulled over for allegedly not coming to a full stop at a traffic light. That sort of thing happens to regular people all the time.
The police officer introduced himself by name to the governor. The governor courteously responded, “I’m Joe Lombardo.” That sort of thing happens with regular people all the time.
Note: He didn’t say “I’m GOVERNOR Lombardo.” He wasn’t trying to play the privilege card. He was just being polite.
The police officer gave the governor a warning and let him go. That sort of thing happens to regular people all the time.
Indeed, Sheriff Kevin McMahill told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that so far this year roughly 210,000 such traffic stops have been made and over 60,000 of them resulted in warnings, not tickets.
But to hear the Democrats and their “amen corner” in the media tell it, Lombardo is the second coming of Charlie Manson.
But who can blame them? After all, they’ve got nothing else.
Their candidate against Lombardo, A-Ron Ford, has hitched his electoral star to stitching Lombardo to President Trump as if they’re Siamese twins.
Almost every tweet is “Lombardo-Trump” or “Trump-Lombardo.”
TDS is real.
But the wheels are coming off Ford’s apple cart.
Start with the fact that he’s way behind Lombardo in fundraising. WAY behind.
Then there’s the recently announced, high-profile “Democrats for Lombardo” group. No similar “Republicans for Ford” effort has materialized.
And then there’s the economy – which Ford has been hyperventilating about for months.
I hear it all the time on the campaign trail: the Lombardo-Trump economy is a complete failure for working Nevadans. Nevadans are working harder than ever, but too many still can’t afford gas, groceries, and rent.

But as we move closer to the General Election, inflation is down. The cost of groceries is down. The cost of gas is down. The cost of rent is down. The cost of prescription drugs is down.
And that recovery from the Biden – not mention the Ford-Sisolak – years looks like it will continue throughout the summer and into the fall campaign.
So what’s that leave for Ford to run on?
* Abortion, Abortion, Abortion
* The Race Card
* “I’m Joe Lombardo”
And even to use those issues, Ford will have to lie over and over again in order to misinform voters.
It’s what they’ve always done in the past. It’s what they’ll do again.
Because they have nothing else.
