I Need Your Help Again, Please

(Chuck Muth) – As you know, I’m holed up in a hotel just outside DC all this week attending the Leadership Institute’s “Campaign Leadership College” because you can never learn too much and often need to be reminded of things you may have forgotten… …no matter how long you’ve been in the politics “biz.” And while I’m here, I’d like to get your opinions on something. As you may or may not be aware, incumbents in Congress – of both parties – are re-elected every two years some 90% of the time.  Flipping a congressional seat is RARE. There are three Democrat-held seats in Nevada: Dina Titus (CD-1), Susie Lee (CD-2), and Steven Horsford (CD-3). And the odds of flipping even one of them are long, let alone two or all three. And there are a limited number of resources – including money and volunteer manpower – conservatives and Republicans can bring to bear next year.  So… In your opinion, if you had to focus on just ONE of those three seats, which do you think is the most likely to flip and why? Second question… In all three of those seats, there are multiple GOP candidates already announced as running for the nomination in the primary. In your opinion, which candidate for each seat do you believe is the strongest candidate who can WIN the general election next November? NOTE: I’m not asking which candidate you think is the most conservative.  I’m asking which horse you think the GOP should ride in order to cross the finish line first next November. If you don’t even know which Republican candidates are in the race, that alone tells me something about their viability. Believe me, your opinions were extremely helpful a week ago when I asked about Nevada’s upcoming U.S. Senate race.  Helped give me some clarity. Send your replies to chuck@chuckmuth.com. And please accept my apologies in advance if I don’t respond directly and quickly.  We’re going from early morning to late at night here at CLC and I barely have time to even quickly check Twitter – though I did get out a photo of our surprise guest lunch speaker today, former Ambassador John Bolton, a couple hours ago.

Anyway…thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! 7 Worst Habits of Highly Unelectable People
