Mother’s Day Cruise Departs This Saturday!
Citizen Outreach’s 3rd annual Mother’s Day cruise to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on the Carnival Splendor takes off from Long Beach this Saturday, May 12th.
I’ll be driving down Friday night from Pahrump immediately after the big Dennis Hof campaign rally and “mass signing” of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge with Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. For details on the rally, click here.
Those joining us this year already have my email address and cell phone. Shoot me a message confirming once you’ve boarded and we’ll coordinate meet-ups, dinners, excursions, etc. Gonna be our best cruise EVER. Bring plenty of sunblock!
If you want to see if there are any last-minute deals to join us, contact our Cruise Director, Karen Weiner, at (800) 819-3902 Ext. 85960 or kweiner@carnival.com.
P.S. Here’s a story about a new $1 billion cruise ship that will include a miniature RACE TRACK. We might just have to put this bad boy on our “bucket list” for a future cruise!
And the Winner of the “Stupidest Statement of the Day” Goes To…
The level of imbecility demonstrated by some on the left is truly mind-blowing sometimes – such as this statement included in a letter-to-the-editor by some wingnut named Michael Plaisted which was published this morning in the Las Vegas Review-Journal…
“Kanye West and other black Republicans – such as Herman Cain and Ben Carson – are not Republicans because they are black. They are Republicans because they are rich. The same is true of Jews.”
Metaphysical stupidity.
Political Potpourri
* Libertarian-leaning former WWE superstar Glenn “Kane” Jacobs is running for mayor of Knoxville, TN and “is expected to win handily” in the August election. Read all about it here
GOP former WWE wrestler Dan Rodimer is running for Nevada’s Senate District 8 seat and has a big fundraiser tonight featuring Ric “Nature Boy” Flair (WOO!) and Jake the Snake Roberts. I’ll be there! Details here
* Former State Assemblyman David Gardner “pulled a Duncan” and dropped out of his race for a seat on the Clark County school board to take a position with the attorney general’s office. Same move former State Assemblyman Wes Duncan pulled in 2014 when he gave up his legislative seat – and likely the Speakership – to join the AG’s office.
Duncan was replaced by Glenn Trowbridge who, like Gardner, went on to vote for the largest tax hike in Nevada history after Duncan was replaced by tax-hiking turncoat Assemblyman John Hambrick for the GOP’s top leadership position. Trowbridge and Gardner both went on to lose their seats in 2016 – Trowbridge in a primary and Gardner in the general.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“(Democrat gubernatorial candidate) Steve (Sisolak) is attempting to take this race into the gutter because it’s his only path to win.” – Democrat gubernatorial candidate Chris Giunchigliani
