* In Assembly District 5 (Clark) – misrepresented by tax-hiking RINO Erv Nelson until he gave up the seat to move into a different state senate district last month – the conservative choice is Tony Baca. He’s being challenged by a guy named Art Ham.
I don’t know if Ham was put in the race by Anderson & Company, but it wouldn’t surprise me. If so, this will be another Conservatives vs. Establishment primary contest.
* In Assembly District 22 (Clark), currently being misrepresented by tax-hiking RINO Assemblyman Lynn Stewart, conservatarian Richard Bunce – a veteran of the Ron Paul Wars who ran against Stewart in 2014 – is seeking the seat again.
He’s being challenged by two other Republicans, one of whom is surely the hand-picked puppet of the GOP establishment. I’m just not sure which one yet. So another Conservative vs. Establishment proxy war.
* Similarly, conservative Marty Hagans appears to be the choice of conservative activists in Assembly District 34 (Clark), currently represented by Republican Assemblywoman Victoria Seaman.
There are two other Republicans in that race; one of whom is likely the GOP Establishment’s choice. Just not sure which one. I’ll let you know about these three races later after I get more information.
* No such uncertainty exists in the Assembly District 41 GOP primary between tea party leader Mary Rooney and GOP establishmentarian Nick Phillips who are running to replace retiring conservative Republican Assemblywoman Vicki Dooling.
Phillips, you may recall, was Team Sandoval’s most recent sacrificial lamb in an effort last fall to dethrone Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald. He’s refused to even answer my inquiries as to whether or not he’ll sign the Tax Pledge.
He won’t. He’s the Establishment’s guy.
Heading up north…
