Fiore: Let’s take back Nevada together

Fiore: Let’s take back Nevada together
N&V Staff
September 14, 2015

Michele Fiore(Michele Fiore) – Last month, the We Decide Coalition filed a referendum to repeal the 1.4 billion dollar tax hike that was passed in the 78 sessions. This tax package includes the Commerce Tax that 80% of voters overwhelming disapproved of last November. While there has been some pushback from supporters of Governor Brian Sandoval, namely the Coalition for Nevada’s Future, we are working hard to ensure that this referendum will make it through the court system and allow voters to decide if this tax package will stay with Nevada permanently.

Get more information on the status of the referendum here.

It’s more important than ever that we have proven conservatives and job creators in the legislature. Nevadans have spoken out about their disapproval of this tax package and their distrust in elected officials after the 78 sessions. No one should feel that a representative they helped put into office has misled them or ignored their best interests in order to serve their own agenda.

We need to elect candidates who can be trusted to stand behind the values they ran their campaigns on, even when they are being persuaded to turn the other way.

Let’s take back Nevada together!

In addition to the tax referendum, there is more work to be done in Carson City, and I need your help in order to get it finished.

I made a promise to represent the interests of the constituents in my district and across Nevada, and I will not turn my back on you.

Assemblywoman Michele Fiore represents Clark County Assembly District 4 (Las Vegas) and was reelected to her 2nd term in 2014. Michele has lived in Nevada since 1993. For more information about her, please visit www.VoteFiore.com.
