(NN&V Staff) – Governor Joe Lombardo announced that Jack Robb has been appointed as the Chief Innovation Officer within the Office of the Governor.

Robb previously served as the Director of the Nevada Department of Administration and is succeeded by Director Joy Grimmer.

“Jack has done a tremendous job of modernizing state government and revitalizing the state workforce in his role at the Department of Administration,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “I’m pleased to announce that Jack will now join my office as our new Chief Innovation Officer, where he’ll utilize his unique skill set to the benefit of our entire state.”

“I’m honored to join the Office of the Governor as Chief Innovation Officer,” said Jack Robb, Chief Innovation Officer. “The Lombardo Administration is focused on delivering efficient and effective state service, while simultaneously developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the challenges faced by our state, and I’m excited to lead these efforts under the direction of Governor Lombardo.”

Robb highlighted the achievements of the Department of Administration over the past year, saying, “Through Governor Lombardo’s transformative leadership, the Department of Administration purchased one million square feet of office space (saving taxpayers $715 million in building costs and over $20 million annually in leasing costs), facilitated a statewide return to office through Governor Lombardo’s Executive Order, and eliminated red tape in state hiring processes and policies. Through these changes, we’ve steadily decreased the state vacancy rate and filled essential roles for the administration of efficient state government.”

Following Robb’s transition to the Office of the Governor, Joy Grimmer will now serve as the Director of the Department of Administration, where she previously served as Deputy Director under Robb.

Grimmer has worked in state government since 2010, serving on all levels of administrative services. Bob Ragar will serve as Deputy Director.

“Joy’s tenure at the Department of Administration has prepared her for this role, and I’m confident that Joy will continue to build upon the success of the department as it strives to serve constituents and our state workforce,” said Governor Joe Lombardo.
