Gun Rights Event Gives Business to Stoney’s Rockin’ Country

Gun Rights Event Gives Business to Stoney’s Rockin’ Country
Chuck Muth
October 11, 2011

(Don Turner/NRA-ILA) – Based on its portrayal as a firearms owners friendly venue, the Silverton Casino was contracted to host a grassroots guns rights workshop. After the contract was signed, Silverton Casino notified NRA-ILA that firearms owners were welcome but they could not possess firearms on Casino property.

Being a grass roots event for all legal gun owners, it was decided to move the venue to a location more supportive of gun owners and gun rights. The grass roots event is now scheduled at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country (9195 Las Vegas Blvd S #300, Las Vegas, NV 89123 beginning at 1 pm on November 19, 2011.

According to the Nevada Firearms Coalition President Don Turner “Hundreds of thousands of Nevada citizens, including 47% of Clark County residents, are lawful gun owners; the Nevada Firearms Coalition was formed to give us a voice. The Silverton Casino claimed they were gun owner friendly, they are not, so we are taking our event and our business elsewhere.”
