(Las Vegas, NV) – Citizen Outreach Foundation (COF) announced today that KXNT 100.5 FM/840 AM afternoon talk-show host Alan Stock will serve as the official Master of Ceremonies at the 4th Annual Conservative Leadership Conference in Las Vegas on July 9-10.
Talkers Magazine has named Alan Stock as one of the 100 most influential talk radio hosts in America. Radio and Records named Alan one of six top local talk radio personalities in 2002, and the 2000 Electronic Media Awards honored Alan for the best radio show.
In 2003, Alan was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame and The Alan Stock & Heidi Harris Show won the Electronic Media Award for best locally produced talk show.
Alan began to work for the Viacom Cable television system and commercial television in the San Francisco Bay Area. This led to Alan landing his first radio job with a small 1,000-watt station in Petaluma, California.
From there, he gained a large following and won numerous awards and recognition at KSRO in Santa Rosa, California. After four years of honing his talk radio skills in Santa Rosa, Alan worked as midday talk host for San Diego’s heritage station KOGO, Sacramento’s KSTE (morning drive) and San Francisco’s heritage station KSFO.
In June of 1999, Alan became the afternoon drive-time host at Infinity’s (Viacom/CBS) KXNT in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the first eighteen months, afternoon ratings quadrupled. In the fall of 2001, Alan became the morning drive personality at KXNT along with co-host Heidi Harris.
Alan graduated with a Masters Degree in psychology from California State University at Dominguez Hills. Alan and his wife Rhoda have been married for 36 years and have twin 28-year old daughters and a son-in-law.
