Lawlessness in America – Are We There Yet?

 (Kathleen Sliter) – In my opinion there is lawlessness in our nation, and it begins at the very highest seat of government, namely the President of the United States and his Administration.  

Fact: A judge in Louisiana ruled the moratorium Obama inflicted on oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico is illegal. The ruling is being ignored. Now the judge is holding the Obama administration in Contempt of Court.  

Question: Who in Washington, DC, cares?  Who is going to see that the drilling begins again?  Although much of the oil America uses comes from Canada, WE THE PEOPLE are being left unprotected from outside forces that could imperil our national security.   Are any of our elected officials going to do anything about forcing Obama to obey the law? 

The following is an excerpt from the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States:  “… provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare…”  In my opinion, providing for the common defense is ensuring we have fuel to put in the tanks of our defensive weapons.  Today that fuel is oil.  Ships, supply trucks, and Armed Services materiel all run on oil. To promote the general welfare implies ensuring our food supply, as in trucks to haul it to market after the farm machinery needed to grow it has done its job.  All these vehicles run on oil. By allowing this man, who is now called President of the United States, to behave in this lawless manner, our elected officials are failing in their duty to WE THE PEOPLE.  

Fact: Florida Judge Vinson just ruled that Obamacare is unconstitutional, in toto, and it now appears the Obama Administration, in further evidence of lawlessness, is prepared to ignore this judge’s ruling also.  

I close with the following excerpt from the Declaration of Independence:  “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government … ”

Are we there yet?
