Lowden to Serve Coffee and Donuts at Biden-Reid Event

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden will be hosting a meet-n-greet event in Reno this Friday morning at the Grand Sierra Hotel parking lot while Vice President Joe Biden is busy raising campaign funds for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The Biden/Reid event will feature pancakes for $2,400 inside the Reno hotel. The Lowden event will take place in the south parking lot from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, with free hot coffee and donuts served in exchange for a canned food item to be donated to the Northern Nevada Food Bank.

“Senator Reid had his Washington and Hollywood allies help kick off his campaign early this year with a star-studded event in Las Vegas,” stated Sue Lowden. “Now, nearly half a year later, Senator Reid is kicking off his campaign here in Reno, bringing another Washington ally he believes to be equally admired in Reno.”

The Lowden event will take place in the south portion of the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot. Donuts, orange juice and coffee will be served free with the donation of canned food items to be provided to the local Northern Nevada Food Bank. Former State Senator Sue Lowden will be on hand to meet with and listen to voters about their frustrations with government-run health care, trillions of dollars of new debt, and the need for job creation in Nevada.

“Recent news reports in Reno indicate that the local food bank is low on food, and as we enter the fall and winter months, our campaign wants to help,” Lowden continued. “All residents are welcome, whether they know me or not, and no matter what their party affiliation happens to be. If you bring a food donation, we’ll serve you hot coffee and donuts … and hope to hear from you about your concerns with Washington policies.”
