(Nevada War Room | Better Nevada PAC) – Since the Nevada Democrats have embraced Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford as their presumptive nominee for the 2026 gubernatorial race, we thought it would be good to make sure everyone got to know him for the radical, left-wing, corrupt politician that he is.
Here’s his story…
In 2017, Ford sponsored a bill that would have effectively turned Nevada into a sanctuary state.
Ford’s bill would have put $23 million in federal funding for law enforcement at risk – including $8.5 million for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department – while gutting Nevada’s emergency services.
Since declaring his gubernatorial run, Ford hasn’t backed off from his support for sanctuary policies, even having his taxpayer-funded Attorney General’s office provide resources for illegal immigrants to avoid authorities – apparently without regard to whether they’ve committed violent crimes or not.
To make matters worse, Ford has a history of being soft-on-crime.
He was one of the architects of AB 236, a law that enabled drug traffickers by weakening criminal penalties.
AB 236 also weakened penalties on smash-and-grab retail theft, making Nevada’s laws more accommodating to criminals than even those of California.
Even Ford acknowledges that these crimes have gotten out of hand… but he won’t call to repeal his own law that caused the problem in the first place.
Ford’s been in elected office for over a decade. Over that time he’s gone on vacations around the world that were funded by special interests seeing to curry favor with him.
He’s gone to places like Mexico, South Africa, and France thanks to the help of these groups.
Even worse, Ford has developed a reputation as one of the least transparent politicians in the state, receiving intense criticism for delaying responses to open records requests.
Nevada Democrats want this guy to be our governor.
Aaron Ford isn’t just out-of-step with Nevadans, he’s pushing dangerous policies that would make us less safe.
