MUTH’S TRUTHS
Well, somebody sure woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!
Pauline Lee inked a meltdown response to my Muth’s Truths column yesterday about the Assembly District 41 GOP primary titled, “Political Hack Bullies Community Volunteer.”
In it she accused me of being a campaign consultant whose “only interested in (his) own pocketbook.”
For the record, I’ve worked with Kelly Chapman for over two years now, pro bono. I’ve never taken a dime from her.
You don’t have to take my word for it. You’ll see my services fully disclosed as an “in-kind” donation when Kelly files her campaign finance report next week.
Though, in the interest of full disclosure, I should note that she and her mom did print up some “Campaign Doctor” t-shirts for me as a thank-you gift.
And I didn’t “bully” Pauline. I simply exposed what she did.
Anyway, at the request of a mutual friend this morning, I’m not going to belabor this spat with a long refutation of the other BS Pauline put in her rant. We have bigger fish to fry.
The fact is, Pauline’s done some good volunteer work on behalf of Republicans in Clark County over the years – and I’ve actually helped promote her efforts.
I endorsed her in her unsuccessful race against Sigal Chattah for Republican National Committeewoman a couple years ago – and even drove all the way up to Ely to carry proxies for her.
I regularly promote her meetings, her club, her projects, and her events here in Nevada News & Views – and even MC’d her “Love & Politics” game show fundraising dinner in February.
She just totally fouled things up this time in this race by letting her personal interests involving her friend override the party’s interests. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
Onward.
