About Last Night
If you missed the Nevada Republican Club’s “Love & Politics Show” last night, you missed a really good time.
To add a little something special to the festivities, Kristen and I dressed to the nines for our hosting/co-hosting duties…
And as promised, I kicked off the show with an exclusive announcement of Citizen Outreach’s “2026 Conservative of the Year” award recipients. Even the honorees didn’t know (until now). They are:
- Conservative of the Year Award: Assemblywoman Jill Dickman
- Rising Star Award: Justin Barrows
- Unsung Hero Award: Bill Laub
- Courage Under Fire Award: Sen. Jeff Stone
- Reagan Legacy Award: John Tsarpalas
I’ll have more details about these wonderful conservatives later – and we’re planning to host a cocktail reception to honor and celebrate their accomplishments sometime in the spring. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, back to the show. Our competing couples were:

- Cindy & Wayne Allyn Root
- Kristine & Lloyd Benson
- Patricia & Garland Brinkley
And when the scores were totaled up, Kristine and Lloyd came out of top. Not completely surprising since they’ve been married for…54 years!
