In other news, I spoke with “Air Force Amy” last week.
Amy was one of late Assemblyman Dennis Hof’s top gals at the Bunny Ranch Brothel when Dennis won his seat in 2020 – despite passing away three weeks before the general election!
Amy’s now the madam at the Alien Cathouse in Amargosa Valley and is thinking of running to reclaim Dennis’ seat next year, which is currently held by Assembly Minority Leader Greg Hafen.
I wasn’t sure if she was serious, but she is. She called over the weekend to talk about it some more and is coming to the dinner Saturday night.
And those who say, “She can’t win!” are the same people who said Dennis couldn’t win. So this could be a very interesting race to watch in 2026.
Lastly, a programming note: Nevada News & Views daily emails are going to be a little sparse for the next two weeks.
I’ve got our big dinner to get ready for on Saturday and am leaving early the next morning for DC for a week.
So while articles will still be posted on the website from our various writers, I probably will not be able to crank out the daily email digests with all the direct links like usual.
And yes, I’m working on getting somebody to do the daily emails in the future when I’m otherwise indisposed. So hold down the fort over the next two weeks until I get fully back in the saddle.
