DEERFIELD, N.H. –  A New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officer came to the aid of a moose stranded on ice — by annoying it.

WMUR-TV reports the moose slipped and got stuck while being chased by a dog in Deerfield on Tuesday.

A conservation officer was called to help. The officer crept onto the ice, and that made the moose mad. She kept trying to stand up.

The officer then started clapping his hands, upsetting the moose more. She finally stood up.

The officer waved his arms and yelled until the moose ran into the woods.
