October 16, 2009

The Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce, northern Nevada’s largest business organization, and the Nevada World Trade Council (NEWTRAC), are collaborating on a Forum on Supply-Chain Management and Doing Business Globally on November 4.

Speakers will include Haws Corporation CEO Sallie Haws and Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority CEO Krys Bart; Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki; UPS Vice President Joel Kolb and Pacific Region Controller Ed Northen; and UNR Professors Dale Rogers and Yvonne Stedham.

Sponsors of the program include UPS, the Nevada Motor Transport Association, ITS Logistics, the U.S. Commercial Service, and Sierra Machinery, Inc.

“Supply-chain management is of critical importance to our region, and global business is of increasing importance as well,” noted Chamber CEO Doug Kurkul. “This forum will help companies break the barriers to global commerce and enhance their supply-chain operations.”

Tickets are $35 for members of the Reno-Sparks Chamber and NEWTRAC, and $45 for non-members. It will be held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa on November 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Visit www.renosparkschamber.org or call the Reno Sparks Chamber at 775-337-3030, ext. 0, for tickets and details.
