Special Holiday Report from New Nevada GOP Chief

Special Holiday Report from New Nevada GOP Chief
N&V Staff
December 11, 2009

(Chris Comfort) – As the holidays are upon us, on behalf of the Republican Party, I wish all Nevadans peace, prosperity and a successful future.

This monthly report will keep Republican Nevadans and our Independent friends updated regarding our progress. As your Chairman, the vision of making the Republican Party safe for all of you who believe in a constitutional republic is my sole and enduring goal. Integrity, a robust moral and common sense code is the mandate for which I was elected. Together, we will build a durable organization and I am happy to report to you, personally, that this objective is being met every day since taking office.

As natural divisions are inherent in any political dialogue and as healthy debate is always welcome; in Hawthorne, we, all, witnessed for the first time, in a very long time, Republicans coming together and quite literally being honored to call ourselves Republicans!

We, as human beings have many failings and distinctive characteristics that compel us to not only forgive ourselves, but to forgive others. We cannot endure nor will we win elections being divided.

Your executive team has accomplished a great deal in the past three weeks, but more importantly, the divisions within our party here in Nevada are being healed. Something to do with root canals I think….but seriously; we have Monday morning focus meetings and when I am not caring for patients, we have a plethora of constructive and action oriented meetings throughout the week.

We have established a special legislation committee, a communications director, an IT committee, and identified key individuals willing to serve in capacities that fulfill our by-law requirements. We have begun issuing strong press releases and most importantly, we are engaging in a process to restructure our party to add professionalism, common sense, and confidence.

Within our lives and our business, whether or not we work as entrepreneurs or as co-workers for a corporation, our quality of life is dependent upon shared and well defined values.

Thus, from a core set of value beliefs, we build a quality of life; this life and this pursuit of happiness is dependent upon three major pillars of success. These pillars are systems, creativity, and leadership. Without any of these in whole or in part, we are able to neither achieve nor sustain our God given right to be happy. Somewhere, it says: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness…sound familiar?

These systems are the hallmark of our party; a Republican Renaissance. Over two hundred years ago, our founding fathers created a republic out of the Revolutionary War. That Republic form of government was enhanced by our party preceding and during the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln was our first president.

Ostensibly, Republic oriented, true American patriots have been at hand to rebuild our country. The chaos’s of a revolutionary war, a civil war, and now financial tumult equivalent to a war on our nation’s wealth have given us the opportunity to rebuild our financial systems. We are the Americans who care about our country with grit and determination.

A new, well versed in the constitution, leadership cadre has formed and we are making our way through the hallowed halls of state and federal governments. We are here to serve and we are no more than you. We care for our country and Nevada will be the model for the rest of the nation as we re-found confidence and integrity.

Thank you for your participation and great ideas of constitutional merit and of fiscal responsibility. I urge you to join with us in rebuilding Nevada and America by becoming active in sharing your enthusiasm, your ideas, your time and your stalwart rebellion against the redistribution of wealth. By the sharing of your wealth through generous gifts to the NRP, we, together will win and restore good governance.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. May God bless us all.

(Mr. Comfort is Chairman of the Nevada Republican Party)
