Tark Boasts of Quarter-Mil Raised from 6K+ Donors

(Tarkanian for Senate) – The campaign of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian raised just over $250,000 from an army of 6780 donors in just weeks since launching its fundraising efforts on August 21.

“Never in the history of Nevada politics has a candidate accumulated so many donors so quickly,” said Tarkanian advisor Steve Wark.

“This report caps off an outstanding launch that saw over 1000 volunteer sign-ups, a successful health care town hall, and two statewide tours of Nevada,” said Tarkanian Campaign Manager Brian Seitchik. “Danny Tarkanian is the hardest working candidate in this race, which means the best is yet to come.

“We know Reid will have more money, but this election is not for sale. We’ve set a goal to replicate the same type of national grassroots fundraising success that helped fuel the campaigns of John Thune and Barack Obama, and are showing that we can do it.”

The most recent report includes donations made up until September 30, 2009.

Summary data:
Total receipts (line 16): $271,331.63
Total contributions (line 6a): $250434.22
Total/candidate loans (13a): $20,897.41
Total operating expenditures (line 7a): $66807.68
Cash on hand (line 8): $204523.95

The full report will be filed by October 15.
