Time to SAVE American Voters: “STOP!” Noncitizen Voting

(Election Integrity Network) — Election Integrity Network and the Only Citizens Vote Coalition Call on all House Members to pass the SAVE Act when it comes up for a voter in July.

With potentially millions of noncitizen resident aliens and illegal immigrants being regularly added to voter rolls due to loopholes in federal law, Election Integrity Network (EIN), the Only Citizens Vote Coalition (OCVC), and their partners are calling on Congress to pass common-sense legislation to protect citizen voters in November.

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act now has more than 230 state legislators supporting the measure and 104 U.S. House Members co-sponsoring this key voter protection legislation.

Concerned American voters are calling on all members of Congress to pass the SAVE Act (H.R. 8281) when it comes to an anticipated floor vote the week of July 8th.

The SAVE Act requires documented proof of citizenship to register for federal elections, amending current law which does not require such documentary proof when a new registration is processed.

The SAVE act would block foreign nationals living in the US legally, as well as illegal aliens, from registering to vote. It would also help states remove noncitizens from voter rolls and comply with voter list maintenance statutes.

Just Facts, a nonpartisan research institute, estimates that between 1 million and 2.7 million noncitizens are likely to illegally vote in the 2024 presidential and congressional elections unless stronger election integrity measures are implemented.

“The SAVE Act is a common-sense measure to ensure American citizens’ votes are not hijacked by noncitizens who easily flow onto voter rolls across the nation,” said Cleta Mitchell, Founder of Election Integrity Network and one of the leaders of the Only Citizens Vote Coalition.

“Noncitizen voter registration numbers are very real, and more than enough to overturn the will of lawful American voters,” Mitchell continued. “We urge every member of Congress  – of both parties – to join the growing citizen movement and  pass the SAVE Act to protect our elections and restore voters’ faith in the system.”

“We are gratified to see so many U.S. House Members  signed on as co-sponsors of the SAVE Act, and now the full House needs to pass it,” Mitchell concluded. “This will send a clear message that they understand every unlawful vote nullifies the political choice of a citizen voter – and this will no longer be tolerated, or allowed.”

The principal SAVE Act sponsor in the U.S. House is Chip Roy (R-TX) with corresponding legislation sponsored by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) in the Senate.

The National Voter Registration Act (‘Motor Voter’) only relies on an honor system in the form of a checkbox to affirm citizenship and eligibility to vote. This has enabled foreign nationals to unlawfully register – and vote. Even if they attest that they are not citizens when issued a state ID or driver’s license, many are still added to voter rolls automatically.

Election Integrity Network is a 501 (c)(3) foundation that has created a broad nationwide coalition of election integrity advocates who believe protecting the vote of every American is a moral and patriotic imperative.
