• Gov. Jim Gibbons will be hosting a social gathering in the Palace Station Grand Ballroom at the Nevada Federation of Republican Women convention in Las Vegas on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 5-7 pm. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

• Elizabeth Halseth, Republican candidate for Assembly District 13, will host a tailgate party from 5-7 pm before the UNLV/BYU football game in Las Vegas this Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium. For additional information, please go to www.ElizabethHalseth.com.

• Tibi Ellis, Republican candidate for Assembly District 5, will be holding a fundraiser on Thursday, October 29, 2009, from 4-6 pm at Spiedini’s Restaurant in the JW Marriott in Las Vegas. $100 per person suggested donation. • The Carson City Republican Women is sponsoring a Constitution seminar presented by the National Center for Constitutional Studies, on Saturday, October 24th titled “The Making of America.” The charge is $15 for adults, $12 for students, and $5 for lunch. • The UNR College Republicans meet every Monday at 7:30 P.M. Meetings are held in room 423, of the Joe Crawley Student Union. Refreshments will be served. For more information call 830-8127 or email unrcollegerepublicans@gmail.com com.

• The next Republican Women of Reno luncheon meeting will be on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Siena Hotel and Casino, One S. Lake St., Reno on the 1st floor, Terazza Room. Registration is at 11:00 A.M., Luncheon at 11:30 A.M. and the price is $18.00. Please call 1-866-806-5501 in advance for your reservations. Our guest speaker is Senator Mark Amodei.

• The next monthly meeting of the Incline Village-Crystal Bay Republican Women will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 11:30 A.M. at The Chateau. • The North Valleys Republican Women will meet Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 6:00P.M. It will be at Hobey’s Casino on Sun Valley Blvd. in Sun Valley. • The next Sparks Republican Women monthly dinner meeting will be on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:00P.M. It will be held at the Red Hawk Event Center in Wingfield Springs. Nevada National Committeewoman Heidi Smith will be the featured speaker.

• The Washoe Republican Women will hold their annual Fundraiser on Friday October 23, 2009 from 6:00 – 10:00 P.M. at the Atlantis Casino Hotel.
